I got this idea from Gingerrunningman after reading his blog post this morning and thought I’d give it a try! I generally don’t recap each month, but it’s nice to see how far you’ve come and what can be improved.
This month, I ran 32 miles. Is this low? Sure. I started to beat myself up over it, when I realized that in January of 2016, I only ran 14.3mi…so this is a huge improvement. While my mileage will pick up in February, I only plan on running 3-4 days a week since I really want to strength train more. January is an exciting month because it saw the start of half-marathon training! I’m so excited to run my first half, although I am little nervous for it as well. Stay tuned for updates!
Cool Runs that I Did: Nothing exciting, but I did change up my 10k route and found some amazing trails near my house that I didn’t even know existed.
I felt like my strength training took a back seat this month. I’m kind of disappointed by that. As I’ve mentioned before, my tiny condo gym had one of its machines out of order so I was extremely limited in terms of what I could do. But that’s soon to change and I couldn’t be more excited about it.
I’ve written quite a few blog posts this month, however this one was the most popular. Feel free to take a look if you haven’t already!
